A Youth-Led Approach
Living the Dream is unique in that it is entirely run by young people. We have found that students respond extremely positively to working in a youth-led environment with more freedom to express themselves and the encouragement to experiment with their own ideas. All of our workshop leaders are experienced, trained actors and youth leaders age 18-25 with up to date CRB checks. We have now worked with over 50 schools in Hertfordshire and would love to work with you too!
After School clubs
Living the Dream can offer youth-led tailored after school clubs for primary and secondary schools in street-dance, drama, musical theatre or contemporary dance for all age groups! We can provide and run affordable afterschool clubs, lunchtime clubs and workshops in performing arts, tailored to suit your needs. Classes are fun and energetic and your students will have the opportunity to take part in end of term shows, flash mobs and events.
What We Can Offer
Street Dance - we feel that young people really respond to this form of dance
Drama or performing arts - including musical theatre, acting, dancing and/or singing
Other dance styles - including contemporary, break dance or jazz
How it works
Try us out with a free taster session!
We would like to offer your school a free taster session to try us out. We can offer workshops, lunch-time/after school clubs or coming into talk to your students at an assembly. Workshops would normally be between fifteen minutes to an hour with up to thirty students in each session. We are able to tailor these to suit your needs.
Workshops in Schools, Colleges and Universities
We have extensive experience in running workshops from dance and drama workshops, to working with students to put on a showcase. We can support GCSE, BTEC, A Level, Diploma and Degree courses in dance, drama and performing arts.
We can offer a range of different workshops from dance styles such as street dance, break dance, contemporary, jazz, musical theatre and more. We are also able to offer drama workshops exploring devising theatre, physical theatre, musical theatre and monologue work. Workshops can range from an hour to regular sessions over a term!
Zoe Jackson, has also played an integral role on re-developing the BTEC dance and performing arts course and can offer inspirational talks, careers advice and audition technique.
We would love to discuss setting up an after school club or workshops with you. If you would like to know more please contact us.See what parents and students say in our testimonials
